Sabby has been in public accounting since 1978. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from USC and a Master's Degree in Business from University of Redlands. After two years with Coopers & Lybrand he spent a number of years as a Partner with a large local firm, then in 1990 left to establish his own Firm, Jonathan & Associates. He has served as our Managing Partner ever since. He is the past (2010) National Chair of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel and the 2011 recipient of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce George Berkey Citizen of the Year award. He specializes in Tax and Financial Planning, Estate & Trust Planning and Litigation Support. When he's not in the office Sabby can usually be found sailing or playing soccer.
Richard joined the Firm in 1999 after graduating from La Sierra University with a BS in Accounting, and quickly progressed to the role of Principal. He has been a CPA since 2004. Richard's emphasis has been as a generalist helping small business and individual clients with a wide range of consulting, planning, accounting and tax issues. In addition, he provides financial statement compilation and review services as well as expertise in the preparation of Estate Tax Returns. Outside the office Richard is a member of the Palm Desert Rotary Club and enjoys following his favorite teams, Chicago's Cubs and Bears.
Katherine joined our Firm in 2004 as our Tax and Accounting Manager. She graduated with her BS in Accounting from University of San Diego. Bringing over 10 years of CPA firm experience when she joined us, she now manages our business and individual tax preparation services as well as review and compilation services, trust and estate accounting and tax services, and bookkeeping and payroll services. Her leisure time, though rare, especially during tax season, is spent enjoying her family.
Freddie joined our Firm in 1996 as Firm Administrator. She has spent her career in public accounting serving in many capacities. Before joining us she spent 14 years with Coopers & Lybrand in Los Angeles, primarily in their Human Resources and Management Consulting groups. In addition to managing all of our internal office functions, she prepares individual income tax returns and provides expertise in bookkeeping, payroll and property management services. She is also a Notary Public, is experienced in trust administration and provides private business management services. 
Laura joined our Firm in 2006 as our Administrative Assistant/Receptionist. She is responsible for all of the administrative support and assembly functions of the office as well as being our time and billing specialist. She is the always cheerful, first voice you hear when you call. Although new to the accounting industry when she first joined us, she is now a seasoned veteran with 6 tax seasons "under her belt" and ready to help in any way she can.
